Description Serve as the engineering leader and technical expert on the team Answer questions and resolve issues brought forth by the mobile engineering team members Check and confirm the accuracy of the work performed and the methods used by engineering staff Monitor and determine various staffing and training needs Hire, train, and supervise engineering staff members Spearhead various research and development initiatives to identify opportunities for new projects and improved processes Collaborate with client teams to develop backend services necessary to support new features Contribute to your team's codebases on a daily basis Communicate and collaborate with other managers and report to the VP of Engineering 5+ years of engineering experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent STEM field, or 4+ years of relevant work experience. Experience in a management or lead role is required Leadership skills necessary to manage and develop a team Strong technical understanding of either iOS or Android development including Swift or Kotlin. Experience in both is a plus but not required Analytical and mathematical mind, capable of evaluating and solving various complex problems Organizational competencies and project management skills to keep projects, processes, and the entire engineering team on track Self-motivated attitude with the ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment Interpersonal communication skills with expertise in distilling complicated topics to a broader audience Experience with DevOps processes and tools related to building mobile apps, such as Jenkins and Bitrise Ability to give constructive criticism Experience delivering feature-level technical design and documentation.
