Job Description : Strong work ethic, design and development skills, strong problem solving and the ability to partner with business and technologists across the organization is required Interact with business users to develop new features/applications, enhance functionality and efficiencies of the existing applications. Collaborate with fellow developers to share best practices, review logic, and learn new technologies. Work with a number of different database systems as well as business processes. Responsible for production support, maintenance and enhancements of applications supporting trading business. Collaborate with the development teams and technology leaders across Schwab technology on product development, best practices, and automation. Assess and apply emerging technologies, practices, and processes and strategizing and executing projects to improve efficiency and innovation.

What you have

Requirements: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation

Experience and/or education must include:
  • F inancial and trading business practices (different securities, assets, stocks, trades, positions, balances, transactions, orders, portfolios, risk management)
  • Enterprise web application development
  • Object oriented languages such as NET, C# or C
  • Software engineering principles such as software design patterns, and database principles, building low latency, high volume and reliable next generation platforms with throughputs of 10K or more.
  • Agile methods and processes, and capability of supporting agile project teams by providing advice and guidance on opportunities
  • Web service design and implementation. Experience building designs and reviewing them with architects using Rest APIs, Windows services
  • Mentoring and guiding junior developers
