Supportive Management and Leadership
The Solutions Architect will provide customer-facing services to our customers to help them define and oversee cloud based initiatives. The Cloud Solutions Architect is responsible for helping strategize, architect and implement various solutions that support SHI customer’s move to the Public Cloud. The Cloud Solutions Architect’s responsibilities include designing and implementing enterprise infrastructure and platforms required for cloud computing, analyzing system requirements and ensuring that systems are securely integrated with current applications. In addition, Cloud Solution Architects need to have a deep understanding of system development in cloud environments, including Software as Service (SaaS), Platform as Service (PaaS), or Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). A successful candidate for this position will be able to demonstrate proficiency with the design, implementation and support of cloud solutions and exhibit strong project management and communication skills.
Design and implement Cloud solutions and related technologies including but not limited to, Network Design, Security Architecture, Governance Best Practices and Connectivity.
Performs design and implementation work that may include logical design, I/O design, cloud architecture analysis and design, system migration and systems engineering.
Serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert on projects and workshops, overseeing the work of others and being accountable for the outcome of the project
Develops technical roadmaps for future cloud implementations on Public Cloud platforms.
Cloud services deployment planning, management, and troubleshooting
PowerShell, python and bash scripting for automation, documentation and standardization
Develops business case analysis on potential projects.
Ensures security is integrated into all cloud architecture solutions.
Assist sales team in identifying and closing opportunities through customer meetings and presentations
Candidates should expect travel of up to 25%.
Passion for technology with 2 - 10 years of technical experience with increasing responsibility
Thorough understanding of Cloud Computing: virtualization technologies, Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service and Software as a Service Cloud delivery models and the current competitive landscape
Thorough understanding of infrastructure (firewalls, load balancers, hypervisor, storage, monitoring, security etc.) and have experience with orchestration to develop a cloud solution
Cloud Certifications (Azure, AWS and/or GCP Certifications)
Experience migrating workloads to the Public Cloud or managing workloads in the Public Cloud
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational and project management skills
Strong troubleshooting skills
Available for travel to client sites upon reasonable request
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or a related fiel
