Position SummarySamsung Austin Semiconductor (SAS) is one of the most advanced semiconductor manufacturing facilities in the United States. Owned by Samsung Electronics Corporation Ltd., SAS is the only semiconductor manufacturing plant located outside of Korea. SAS manufactures logic components for digital services, personal computers, mobile phones, workstations and servers. Since 1997, SAS has been at the forefront of manufacturing technology, enabling the world's digital devices to operate at the highest performance.The Material Technology team's mission is to provide Samsung Austin Semiconductor Fab with the highest quality raw materials and analysis in the world. As part of the Material Technology team, you will provide support in generating and analyzing data, getting results and solving problems, taking on responsibilities beyond your scope, and communicating and responding positively and constantly to our customer requests. Your focus is expanding our in-situ monitoring capability on-site for our chemical raw materials, both during the offload process and at point of use. Significant enhancements are available on the market today that we are looking to take advantage of for liquid particle counting & trace metal monitoring. This role would have direct ownership over the design, selection process, installation & long-term management of these new analytical capabilities for our site.Role and ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include but not limited to the following:

Initiate, lead and participate in cross-functional teamwork with various groups on-site for implementation and management of these advanced analytical capabilities.

Serve as primary point of contact for equipment escalations and questions from internal and external stakeholders.

Integrate safety into all design, processes, and procedures as our site’s top priority.

Drive current and new capital requests enhancing our site’s capabilities.

Develop full roadmap of equipment install location and plan to reach complete site coverage.

Work closely with analytical equipment suppliers for measurement techniques, stability & variation reduction efforts.

Drive supplier relationship to meet SAS needs through regular interactions including project meetings, manufacturing site visits, and quarterly business reviews (QBR).

Manage vendor and contractor scope to keep projects on schedule.

Develop, understand and document cradle to grave understanding of material performance from supplier to final use in FAB.

Develop reporting for data output to monitor performance of equipment and raw material.

Develop appropriate response procedures for out of control (OOC) performance. Analyze data to drive root cause understanding and corrective action of issues.

Design preventative maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.

Design qualification criteria for new and calibrated equipment.

Benchmark and align with other FABs located in Korea.

Interface with internal customers to align on factory needs and maximize return on investment for equipment.

Identify and implement continual equipment and process improvements.

Work days and hours; M-F. 1st Shift.

Skills and Qualifications

Requires a minimum of Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science or an equivalent discipline.

Requires 5+ years related experience of FAB, FAB bulk distribution equipment, UHP electronic grade material or analytical laboratory setting.

Requires proven background in risk assessment, data analysis, and problem solving techniques.

Requires methodical equipment troubleshooting skills based on available data.

Analytical background with direct knowledge of LPC (Liquid Particle Count) & ICPMS techniques & equipment.

Requires vendor management skills to meet SAS needs for scope and on-time schedule completion.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills.

Excellent organizational skills and commitment to deadlines in fast-paced environment.

Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders as needed for project completion.

Ability to quickly adjust priorities based on changing business needs.

Preferred experience in Electronics grade material industry or analytical laboratory.

Preferred experience in project management.
