Job Title: SCTASK0899581: Business Analyst II Job Duration: 12 Months Contract Client name: Texas Department of Transportation Location: Austin, TX (Local candidates are needed) Solicitation Reference Number: SCTASK0899581 Working Title: Business Analyst II - Salesforce Title/Level: Business Analyst II Category: Information Technology Full Time DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: (Required) The Department of Information Resources (DIR) requires the services of 1 Business Analyst II hereafter referred to as Worker, who meets the general qualification of Business Analyst II and the specifications outlined in this document. The Business Analyst II is an Information Technology (IT) position that reviews, analyzes and evaluates business processes and documents both technical and user business needs. This role must be familiar with industry leading business mapping methodologies and business process reengineering that facilitate the delivery of successful projects. This role will provide support and offer best practices on reviewing, analyzing and documenting business systems and user needs. WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS (Required) The workers responsibilities and skills must include:
- Experience with reviewing, analyzing and evaluating business processes and systems and user needs.
- Experience with general IT SDLC processes.
- Experience with documenting detailed description of user needs and program functions.
- Experience with documenting AS-IS and TO-BE process flows.
- Experience with mediating business units that may have conflicting requirements.
- Ability to create and maintain several project artifacts including Business Requirements Document, Use Cases and User Acceptance Test Plan and Scripts.
- Experience with collaborating with team members to understand organizational and operational challenges.
- Experience with drafting statistical reports that assist decision-makers
- Knowledge of Excel, Tableau, and other tools to perform data analysis
- Experience with serving as a liaison between the business community and IT teams.
- Experience with identifying, managing and mitigating project risks and issues.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Being a creative thinker to solve issues.

- Work will be performed onsite in Austin, during normal business work hours.
- Candidate may be required to work evenings or weekends to meet business needs and deadlines.
- Working remotely is accepted in accordance with TxDOT's policies.
- NO EXCEPTIONS: Resource MUST be in the Austin area, with a current requirement is to be in the office a minimum of twice a week, inclusive of Wednesday and one other day of user's choice.
