If so, lets talk.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesThe cost model role provides support for the US cost model tool (SDM/FWB). The role is responsible for providing for the accuracy & integrity of the FWB model used by the solution community. The tool provides cost & service definitions. The model provides cost competitive solutions to our customers. The team works with peer counterparts within the modeling team as well as others (such as the benchmark team). The team also focuses on simplification of the model as well as harmonization of the model from a global perspective. Simplifying & standardizing the model allows for consistency & repeatable outcomes which is extremely important when developing sellable solutions for our customers.Required Technical and Professional ExpertiseTechnical Leadership: Technical knowledge in the area of the infrastructure technology involved with delivering I/T services that are included within the costing tool. Leads and manages the US cost models used by engagement teams which reflect services we provide & support.
Business Leadership: Quantifies and discusses the business aspects of a proposed services solution within the cost models. Develops cost models that address our client's requirements and business problems that support IBMs business strategy.
Trusted Adviser Role: Provides the trusted adviser role within the solution community. Has the ability to articulate and advise within the solution community the services described within the modeling tool as well as assess cost competitiveness of our solutions.
Expert Excel skills required. Experience with SDM Costing highly valued.
