If interested please share your resume at Title: Database Performance Engineer Location:Austin,TX Duration:12+ Months Remarks: Non Local Candidate must relocate in 2 weeks if hired Job Description: Looking for a Performance Tuning Database Engineer who can help tune and scale client's Online store database environments Roles & Responsibilities1. Identify areas of performance improvement in different SQL & NoSQL database technologies2. Performance analyze the environment and identify bottlenecks due to network, storage and Operating system with end to end Root cause analysis3. Collect and analyze database metrics collected during Performance Load testing and report/highlight issues, if any4. Identify ways to pull database related metrics like CPU, Memory, IO Latencies, 5. Perform database level tracing and analyze trace files6. Perform log analysis for different datastore technologies to identify issues and solve them7. Open case or issues with vendor companies and provide clear issue details8. Carry technical discussion with cross functional teams and work on resolving database issues9. Perform Technical POCs with new diverse database technologies10. Perform effective communication with the team over collaborative tools like Slack, write descriptive emails and present to the team Technical Skill Set required1. Knowledge of AWS services, Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience working on AWS services mentioned below: EC2 - Security groups, AutoScaling Groups IAM S3 Route53 EBS Cloudformation RDS Oracle, Postgres KMS2. Architectural knowledge about Oracle database and respective components & functionality3. Experience with performance tuning SQL queries4. Analyzing and recommending improvement by reading Oracle database performance reports like ADDM, AWR etc.5. Knowledge of basic OS commands to identify CPU & memory bottlenecks/issues as well as network & storage level latencies6. Clear understanding of database fundamentals and architecture for RDBMS databases7. Fundamental knowledge of heterogenous database types like MongoDB, Couchbase, Cassandra is a big plus8. Experience with Data Visualization & Dash-boarding tools like: Tableau, Splunk is a huge plus9. Experience working with either Ansible, Java, GoLang, Groovy or similar language is a plus
