FullStack Developer (80%Backend and 20% Frontend) San Jose, TX or Austin, TX(Can do remote as well but once or twice in a week candidate can go onsite) Mettle Test is a MUST The client is seeking Full Stack developer to join our PPE (Platform & Product Engineering) team to manage and run cross-functional projects. Selected candidate will be required to: Build solutions using your strong background in large scale web applications. Lead product initiatives, recommend improvements, mentor, and guide junior team members Estimate engineering effort, plan implementation, and rollout system changes Participate in all aspects of PDLC including requirement/design reviews as well as code reviews Work with other engineers, Architecture, Product Management, QA, and Operations teams to develop innovative solutions that meet business needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, realistic implementation schedules and adherence to development principles and product goals. Push the bar to solve complex technical challenges of scale and performance To succeed, this role's responsibilities would involve: 5+ years of software design and development experience, solid foundation in computer science with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design Excellent knowledge in practicing OOAD, architectural and design patterns, open-source platforms, RESTful Services, Web Technologies, frameworks, and software engineering methodologies. Experience in object-oriented design methodology and large-scale application development in Java Experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript framework (e.g. React, Backbone, AngularJS) Experience developing data-driven applications using an industry standard RDBMS, No-SQL (Mongo, Cassandra) Experience with solutions such as Elastic Search, MapReduce, Hive, Pig, Kafka, Storm etc. is a plus. Demonstrated ability to understand the business and ability to contribute to technology direction that contributes to measurable business improvements. Ability to think out of the box in solving real world problems. Excellent decision-making, communication and collaboration, analytical skills.
