Additional Comments: The Cloud Tech team is looking for a Google Cloud Platform Cloud Support Engineer. At least 5+ years hands-on experience in infrastructure engineering, SRE, or as a Google Cloud Platform Cloud support engineerExcellent Python, bash, and scripting fundamentalsExpertise with Google Cloud Platform cloud platformExpertise with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager, Ansible, or Chef.Experience in building systems where observability is a first class concern using protocols and tools that cover the space of log aggregation, analytics, monitoring, distributed systems tracing and alertingExperience with containerization and cluster management technologies like Docker, Kubernetes and GKE.Familiarity with microservices architecture and container orchestration with KubernetesExperience in designing and managing a predictive alerting platform using monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Cloud monitoring, Splunk,Proficient at Linux system administrationExperience with modern web services architecturesExperience with GitExperience with GKE & Kubernetes desiredAble to build tools from scratch when neededAbility to quickly learn new and existing technologiesStrong problem solving skills Experience in writing detailed solution specifications, diagrams, best practices/standards documentation, operating procedures, test plans/test reports, etc.Excellent communication skills - must be capable of effectively engaging and leading interactions with cross functional technical and business teams and varying levels of management. Able to comfortably present to customers and stakeholders.This role works cloud-based customers as well PaaS engineering teams to help meet customers cloud operational needs as well as assist with their migration to the cloud platforms. We are looking for someone who is comfortable with working with customers and has the experience to solving Google Cloud Platform technical issues. Troubleshooting, problems solving and automating solutions are daily routines. Familiarity with CI/CD Pipelines and being fluent with config as code through Cloud Deployment Manager, TerraForm/Palumi Config management is a must.
