TransUnion Healthcare's Insurance Discovery platform leverages sophisticated technology and extensive hospital revenue cycle expertise to ensure all value-added eligibility for our client hospitals' patients is identified and reported in an actionable manner. Based in Austin, TX, we have an opportunity for an Insurance Discovery Product Owner who will be part of our EDI scrum team. You'll work with internal stakeholders and the product and development teams to build and execute implementation plans for new features and products. Your understanding of the product, ability to work with technical and non-technical staff, and enthusiasm in planning, communicating, and tracking a tactical approach to meet the team's commitments will be keys to your success in this role.

  • Requires bachelor degree or equivalent experience
  • Requires at least 1+ years of experience in business analysis, product analysis, data analysis or equivalent experience ( this is a entry level role)
  • Requires strong analytical skills using SQL, and Excel with the ability to communicate the outcomes of your analysis
  • Requires strong facilitation skills and the ability to build professional relationships
  • Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent inter-personal skills with the ability to bridge business and technical environments
  • Ability to stay organized and be flexible to changing priorities
We'd Love to See:
  • Healthcare revenue cycle experience preferred
  • Prior experience working in an Agile/ Kanban Development environment
  • Prior experience working as a Product Owner/ Manager
Impact You'll Make:
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Product Manager, technical and business stakeholders to prioritize the feature and user story backlog for the Kanban team.
  • Triage Product requests from internal and external stakeholders and validate the gap before creating user stories for Development.
  • Work with technical and business stakeholders to gather requirements and compose clear, concise user stories.
  • Maintain and prioritize the user story backlog and work with development team to refine user stories to meet the Definition of Ready.
  • Provide guidance and direction to the development team during the development cycle and participate in all Kanban ceremonies.
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing, validate if user stories meet the Definition of Done, and accept stories as 'Done'.
  • Coordinate with Product Owners to triage stakeholder feedback and work to resolve any issues arising from newly released product feature functionalities.
  • Analyze impacts of a Product change and gather metrics to demonstrate impacts to the business.
  • Maintain Product documentation and communicate updates to the business.
