You will do more than just write. You will work with cross-functional teams to produce an optimized information experience that supports the overall user experience.Come join the IBM Networking Services team and be responsible for the end-to-end content delivery of IBM Cloud Docs. We collaborate with designers, developers, and offering managers to craft everything from UI text for embedded assistance, to product docs, CLI references, API docs, and more.Check out what we work on at https://cloud.ibm.com/docs?tab=all-docs&category=network !Preferred location for this position is Austin, TX.Required Technical and Professional ExpertiseMinimum 3 years of technical writing experience in the field of software development, writing/publishing documentation.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with demonstrated ability (portfolio) to communicate complex technical topics clearly and succinctly.
Demonstrated skills in Markdown, HTML, XML, and other mark-up languages.
Lead project teams, taking responsibility for producing user assistance for these teams, and reporting issues and progress.
Work with worldwide teams and prioritize multiple tasks.
Experience writing user assistance - from UI inline text, tooltips, and messages to API and CLI.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, continuous-delivery development environment.
Familiarity with the software application industry, agile processes, development methodologies, relational databases, and release cycles.
Preferred Technical and Professional ExpertiseAbility to create translatable, accessible images and diagrams.
Prior experience working on networking services and cloud platforms.
Familiarity with detailed technical content, such as APIs and SDKs.
RESTful API and content development experience using Swagger, YAML, and JSON.
Debugging and troubleshooting build issues.
A passion for user-centered writing and a talent for effectively conveying technical information.
Excellent research skills and audience analysis.
Familiarity with working in GitHub or other source management tools.
