We have an exciting opportunity for Java Developer with a state agency. This role will have the opportunity to perform advanced automated systems development work in support of Vocational Rehabilitation software systems. Responsible for activities during all phases of the system development life cycle including analyzing, diagnosing and resolving software, data, hardware, reporting problems, and troubleshooting system issues for internal and external clients. Develops and tests web applications that meet design specifications, including accessibility and usability requirements. Documents current processes, reviews written specification additions/modifications, and creates test cases for submitted defects involving new and modified program policies. Analyze, design, and develop logical, structured programs and systems appropriate to needs which are well-documented programs and that may be maintained by others. Ensure adherence to program documentation and procedural standards, and management goals and objectives.You:8 years of experience with Java, SQL, and Spring Suite8 years of experience with JPA and ORM technologies (Hibernate, MyBatis, etc)5 years of experience with web development2 years of experience with JSP, HTML, CSS, Javascript, JQuery, Bootstrap, React, Angular2 years of experience with AWS, Container technologies (Docker, Kuber)2 years of experience using Microfocus ALM Octane (Application Lifecycle Management)2 years of experience with building Accessible web applications2 years of experience using Version ControlKnowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles, practices and techniques of application programming and software designAbility to accurately test software applications use a data driven development approachAbility to effectively communicateSkill in solving problems; in scheduling, testing, installing, and implementing programs; and in trouble shooting computer software systemsStrong written and verbal communication skills to serve as a technical consultant to peers, clearly and accurately document relevant issues, and prepare accurate, concise, reliable reports
