Job Title: Jira Admin/Scrum Master

Duration: 6 Months

Location: Austin, TX

Responsibilities Include:
  • Designing, building, and maintaining boards, workflows, schemes, etc. for a variety of business use cases in Jira, as well as coordinating associated use of Zephyr Scale, BigPicture, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
  • Working closely with team leads, product owners, and project managers to gather requirements and provide guidance and recommendations on establishing best practices for SDLC administration and management
  • Coaching and assisting project managers and team leads with day-to-day operation and maintenance of Jira boards and reports across multiple IT teams
  • Helping the IT team move toward effective backlog management, resource planning, and Agile/Scrum-style development and management practices where appropriate and identifying where that may not be ideal
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement in business processes and enterprise engagement between the Project Management Office, IT, and business users
  • Test new versions of the tools and plug-ins to ensure compatibility.
  • Research and utilize industry standard methods and techniques.
Qualifications Atlassian certification in Jira and experience with Jira Cloud is strongly preferred Experience with software development required, and BI development a big plus 2 years of experience configuring and supporting Jira and associated Atlassian and third-party products like Confluence, Bit Bucket, BigPicture, etc. Ability to work with end users to design effective Jira infrastructure including project workflows, issue schemes/screens, permission management, and meaningful notifications Ability to gather requirements, co-develop Jira strategies with project managers and team leads, and implement necessary changes in Atlassian products Outstanding problem-solving skills and attention to detail Strong communication skills, including the ability to translate business requests into appropriate technological requirements and foster a healthy rapport with multiple IT teams Ability to work independently and be self-motivated Experience with best practices and principles behind setting, measuring, and refining KBRs and KPIs across a variety of business use cases a plus

Required Education and Certifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
