This role is with a ajor wealth management client. They would prefer someone in Austin TX or Phoenix Az when they go back to normal , they are open to complete remote for the right candidate Description/Comment:Senior: Skills equiv. to 6-10 years in comparable position. Responsible for maintaining the computer systems, server management including installing, maintaining and upgrading the servers. Will ensure the servers are backed up, and that the server data is secure from unauthorized access.May also produce and create reports, charts, manuals proposals and perform light programming (scripting). Must be able to plan, coordinate and implement software version changes and use utility tools to monitor elements of the system, such as memory, central processing unit (CPU) and program errors generated from a system or software problem. Must also have knowledge in systems design and configuration. Strong verbal and written communication skills is required Responsible for maintaining, installing, and customizing the mainframe z/OS operating system environment. Installing program temporary fixes (PTFs) Upgrading and migrating z/OS system software (via IBM ServerPac or CBPDO)Installing and upgrading IBM and OEM software Making IOCDS or IODF modifications for new hardware installation Configuring and managing LPARs Configuring and managing Sysplex environments. Knowledge of maintaining and supporting GDPS software.Developing and maintaining z/OS or other product exits Installing and Maintaining ISV(3rd Party) software products.Required Skills:Extensive knowledge and experience utilizing SMP/e for zOS Operating systems and ISV (3rd party) software. Familiar with IBM Mainframe Hardware including Mainframe, DASD, and Tape. Proven ability to diagnose complex issues working with team members as well as with IBM as needed.Excellent collaboration skills with internal as well as external team members. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of Microsoft Office products that include Word and Excel Follow all Change and Incident Management Procedures Ability to create technical documents that include software upgrade and backout processes
