Work you'll doAs a Manager on the Strategy & Governance team in DLA, your primary focus is to lead the design of leading-edge learning and development programs with emphasis on the Lifecycle Journeys. Your day-to-day duties, tasks, and responsibilities in include: Strategy Development (30%)Analyze research and solution alternatives to support strategy development.

Define and advance the overarching DLA strategy and design of integrated lifecycles that emphasize human capabilities and create growth-oriented and inclusive professionals and leaders for the future of work.

Work closely with DLA Governance to define business strategy implications on development priorities to evolve DLA as needed to drive maximum impact.

Stakeholder Relationship Management (25%)Establish and maintain close ties with Program Deans and key SMRs.

Own and manage key work group relationships within L&D.

Serve as business advisor and learning expert to help the business understand the DLA L&D portfolio(s).

Foster close integration between US and USI DLA teams to create a predominantly common curriculum and collaborate with Global Learning leaders on strategy and curricula.

Operations Management (20%)Assess and evaluate the instructional integrity and delivery of programs in accordance with learning goals and performance objectives.

Collaborate with the leadership team to monitor the effectiveness of core curricula and supplemental instructional materials.

Leverage team resources to produce dashboards and measurement reports as needed to monitor efforts with stakeholders.

Own and manage individual program plans and budgets to execute against overall L&D strategy.

Engage / assign / mobilize teams to execute upon objectives while aligning work and roles to ensure continuous improvement.

Evaluate and provide quarterly reporting on the effectiveness of educational programming initiatives in practice.

Lead cross-team operational initiatives as needed.

Curriculum Management (15%)Lead the design of innovative learning solutions that translate complex business processes and technological concepts into engaging learning experiences.

Maintain strong knowledge of content strategy and design concepts as well as industry knowledge, as needed.

Conduct needs analysis to identify next-up hot-topics, programs, and learning experiences.

Manage day-to-day work with ID resources, faculty, Talent Services, vendors, USI CTS / CRM, and contractor resources as needed.

Provide an agile development environment that can meet the needs of a constantly evolving environment and a variety of learner requirements.

Resource Mgmt & Development (10%)Create a teaming environment which encourages sharing of best practices, driving innovation, and continuing improvement.

Lead, inspire, and coach team members, fostering individual and team growth and agility through delegation, feedback, instruction, and encouragement-building on strengths and dissecting and developing areas for improvement.

Coach and mentor work group team members through established 1:1 check-ins and other development mechanisms.

Complete and submit professional development and performance review documentation.

Cultivate an inclusive, high-performing team that maximizes team member contribution by creating an environment of mutual support and shared responsibility.

Utilize employee engagement tactics to encourage employees to become productive, high performing employees who actually enjoy coming to work.

QualificationsRequired:Bachelor's Degree; Minimum 8 years of related experience

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment

Collaborative mindset to share and implement best practices

Strong instructional design and project management skills

Consultative approach toward clients

Sound leadership skills

Proficient Microsoft Office skills

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Travel up to 20% (While 20% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice.)

Preferred:Prior consulting or professional services experience
