We are looking for a Monitoring Engineer for a long-term, multi-year contract opportunity with our Austin, TX client. Responsibilities: Zenoss monitoring platform to manage and react to alerts.Implement and administer services security policies, patching, standards, and procedures incoordination with enterprise Security and Information Security Service Component ProviderInterface with Service Provider support as needed, including opening tickets with Vendors when support is neededParticipate in the annual review of machine plans and workload forecasts (theService Provider shall include long-range technology forecasts and technology refresh planningin this capacity planning process to ensure that the enterprise will realize the full benefits of technology and performance trends)Advise (or manage) any upgrade or configuration change of an existing operating systemTest new versions of machines, operating system, and software prior to recommending theimplementation of these productsWork with and provide input on solutions from Solution ArchitectsProvide Wintel L3, Linux L3, and Cloud L3 support for all data centersWork with Applications tower to implement any applications changes and upgradesManage ticket queues as appropriate.Create / Advise on processes.Participate on call rotationAbility to work with Multiple vendorsAssist in audit processes
