- This position requires extensive knowledge of the capabilities, use, and implementation of the products and technologies available in Microsoft 365.
- This position requires up to date skills in network security as well as Exchange (2010/Office 365) and working knowledge of Microsoft Server 2008/2012.
- This position is responsible for the configuration, operation, and maintenance of Office 365, SharePoint, Azure, Windows and related security infrastructures.
- The ideal candidate must be able to communicate in a professional, customer-focused manner and be able to communicate complex technical issues to audiences of varying technical skill and ability.
- This position may need to occasionally work evenings and/or weekends outside of normal business hours to meet critical support needs.
- Previous State Agency experience in an information technology division or department.
- Certification in Microsoft O365.
- Cisco certification.
- 8 years of experience in the field of network and systems administration.
- 5 years of experience in Microsoft O365 architecture (cloud and hybrid cloud/on-prem solutions) and components including Azure Active Directory, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, and Office Suite.
- 5 years of experience administering and managing all aspects of a Microsoft Active Directory Domain environment (AD, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, SMTP, E-mail, Certificate Authorities, Office 365 environment and suite of products, SQL, SSRS).
- 3 years of experience administering and managing Cisco Meraki and other network and security appliances, services, and environments on premises as well as remote offices and cloud services (web content and email filtering, switching, firewall, wireless, routing, intrusion prevention, protection, and detection).
- 3 years of experience capturing, analyzing, and monitoring network traffic and network packets.
- 3 years of experience preventing, responding to, mitigating, and reporting on cybersecurity threats and events.
- Previous experience designing, administering, migrating and managing cloud services to include but not limited to: Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Microsoft 365.
- Previous experience administering and managing a VMware ESX host environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft EMS (Enterprise Mobility and Security) components include but not limited to Azure Active Directory Premium.
- Provides high-level support of the design, operation, security and stability of server and network infrastructure.
- Supports operational, technical, and system requirements for the location, installation, operation, and maintenance of servers.
- Analyzes, troubleshoots, and resolves system hardware, software, and networking issues.
- Configures automation routines using scripting and other programming languages such as SQL and PowerShell.
- Oversees and conducts performance tuning and capacity planning activities to enhance the performance of network resources.
- Performs client testing, server patching and deployment assistance.
- Monitors the status of the network to ensure that all devices are working properly; makes upgrades and repairs as needed.
- Monitors the performance of backup, recovery, and archival of files stored on the network.
- Maintains the network’s physical and logical structures, including all network connections.
- Installs, configures, maintains, and administers servers, operating systems, and applications.
- Coordinate with third-party vendor on network maintenance, troubleshooting, and remediation.
- Provides high level Help Desk support.
- Administer and support Office 365, Office 365 Azure and Microsoft Exchange (mailbox creation, permissions and folder security) including troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Administer and support the creation of policies around the proper use of Office 365 services.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert on Office 365 capabilities and dependencies.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft EMS (Enterprise Mobility and Security) components include such as Azure Active Directory Premium.
- Experience with performing and troubleshooting Office 365 migrations; Enterprise Exchange Hybrid / Exchange Online migrations.
- Maintains the operating system and security software utilized on the network, including the addition of new users to the network and the establishment of rights and privileges.
- Interprets and solves problems when a user or an automated monitoring system alerts that a problem exists.
- Detects, anticipates, and mitigates network system vulnerabilities.
- Performs forensic analysis of information systems and forensic recovery of data using assessment tools.
- Understanding of firewall requirements needed for all Office 365 functions.
