What you are good at

The Podcast Producer will be responsible for:

  • Writing and revising scripts for podcast episodes in collaboration with internal subject matter experts
  • Running podcast recording sessions using Riverside.fm remote-recording solution and/or Schwab studios
  • Editing and mixing podcast audio using Adobe Audition, Premiere Pro, and/or Descript
  • Procuring and deploying recording equipment for podcast hosts and guests to optimize audio quality
  • Steering content through various states of review and feedback-including Compliance and Principal Series 24 review
  • Transcribing audio or procuring transcripts from vendor; proofing vendor-supplied transcripts to ensure accuracy as well as correct formatting, punctuation, style, etc.
  • Writing episode titles, summaries, show notes, and CTAs
  • Uploading final approved audio and episode details to Simplecast hosting platform and Drupal CMS
  • Contributing to audience development activities: Brainstorming promotional opportunities via owned, earned, and paid media and helping develop creative assets for use in promotions
  • Helping develop new show concepts-including format, target audience, show title, artwork, theme music, metadata, etc.
  • Accessing and reporting out metrics from hosting platform and various podcast apps

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Expertise in audio production techniques, including fluency with audio-editing software (ideally Adobe Audition and Premiere Pro) and hardware (microphones, headphones, portable recorders, and accessories).
  • Deep knowledge of the podcast industry, including distribution, analytics, audience development strategies, and emerging trends
  • Excellent editorial judgment, writing ability, and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to persuade others
  • A thorough understanding of investing and personal finance
  • Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills
  • The ability to plan and produce content iteratively under tight deadlines

What you have

Requirements:
  • Experience developing audio content for a broad retail consumer audience
  • Project-management skills
  • Portfolio of relevant work samples
  • Ability to work both independently and as a strong contributor to a team
  • B.A./B.S. in journalism, communications, media studies, radio-television-film, finance, economics, or related field

Preferred qualifications:
  • Previous experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries
  • Proficiency with video and graphics editing in addition to audio (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop)
  • Understanding of Drupal or other content management system
  • Knowledge of podcast analytics platforms (e.g., Chartable, Podsights) and website analytics platforms (e.g., Adobe Analytics)

Target

Total Compensation - $105,300 - $210,500Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience talk with your recruiter to learn more.
