The primary goal is developing state of the art Reports in PowerBI that measure, analyze and help the Server Processor team optimize performance of EPYC server products. client is increasingly a dominant player in the server space. client’s EPYC product line has set many world records.We run hundreds of experiments many times each across the life of a processor design. This is where we use data science and scientific method as measurements and telemetry provide insight into formal and de-facto industry performance benchmarks. Automated Benchmarking Results flow through a reactive streaming data pipeline.We use Hive and PowerBI to visualize the results and conduct analysis. This is where the Report Developer fills this critical role in the team. Visualizations, graphs and charts are consumed by a technical publications group, among others. This Report Developer role is rich in opportunity to develop new insights, improve existing data models and create new models for new experiments and benchmarks. The Report Developer will also mentor and help other Hive and PowerBI users who want to develop their own reports.Typical activities include:• Data modeling in Hive and JSON• Designing views in Hive• Designing reports in PowerBI using the PowerBI Desktop authoring tool• Developing DAX components for PowerBI• Writing queries in SQL, HQL (Hive Query Language)Required• 2 years Hive HQL experience on Linux• 2 years of experience with PowerBI (DAX, Relations, Data Slicer)• Experience with relational database models• Big Data query experience with normalized data (multi-GB datasets)• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Architecture, Software Engineering or similarNice to have• Big Data timeseries modeling and query experience• Data Modeling experience with 1st and 3rd normal forms• Strong data science skills• Windows or Linux command line experience• Git version control experience VIVA USA is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to maintaining a professional working environment that is free from discrimination and unlawful harassment.
