The Advisor Services Technology team is seeking an experienced full-stack web developer, ideally with both .NET and Java experience, to join our growing organization as the technical lead for one of our Agile project teams. You will be an integral part of an Agile team of roughly 4-6 total members working together to deliver cutting edge customer-facing functionality through our Schwab Advisor Center platform.

As part of a closely aligned Agile team, you will be engaged through all stages of the software development cycle, with an opportunity to work on cutting edge technology and develop new skills. Partnering with fellow developers, testers, product owners, technical leads and architects, you will be part of a self-organizing team that provides both a strong foundation of support, as well as outstanding career development opportunities. As a technical lead, you will be both hands on with the engineering work, as well as have an opportunity to support and grow the junior and mid-level members of the team. Strong work ethic, design and development skills, strong problem solving and the ability to partner with business and technologists across the organization are required.

What you have

  • 7+ years of full stack application development experienceBachelor's degree from 4-year accredited degree granting college or university is preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience developing and implementing applications, particularly web-enabled applications using:Front End Technologies/Concepts:Angular and/or AngularJS, HTML5, CSS/SCSS, ASP.NET web forms, MVC, JSON/XML, Sync/ASync services
  • Back End Technologies/Concepts:C# and Java, ASP.NET, SOAP and RESTful API design
  • Database Technologies/Concepts: Relational (SQL/Oracle) and Document Based (No-SQL/MongoDB) Architectures
  • Environment: Distributed Monolithic and Cloud Based Microsevices (Private Cloud/Pivotal Cloud Foundry is strongly differentiating)
  • Passion for enterprise-level agile development
  • Solid understanding in web application environments and development tools, event-driven application development, session state management,web configuration and deployment strategies, security and performance tuning, and debugging methodologiesComfortable with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) concepts, unit testing principles and implementations, API test automation techniques as well as automated deployment pipeline tools
  • Experience with Atlassian tool suite is strongly preferred: JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, Bamboo
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skillsEffective time management. Must be able to prioritize and multi-task effectively
  • Have a passion for problem solving, the ability to quickly learn new concepts, and must be able to interact with all levels of technical and business teams
  • Proven ability to work independently while serving in a leadership role within a team
