In this critical role, we seek an exceptional and passionate Senior Principal Technical Program Manager to join the Compute & Capacity organization in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This role will be reporting to the Sr. Director and leader of Capacity Management. It will directly partner with Software Development, DevOps, Systems, infrastructure & network engineering, and product teams across the broader OCI organization.

The ideal candidate is a visionary, strong leader, comfortable engaging with people at all levels, including architects & top-tier executives. Successfully manages via influence and is a change agent. Someone with a senior-level understanding of Cloud, engineering, software, and systems development lifecycles, a strong background in Technical Program Management, and exceptional communication skills.

Able to successfully adapt your style and leverage strong listening skills to inform your approach.Experience developing or managing engineering or product portfolio planning and tracking processes and cadences. Able to clearly articulate the value-add of TPM to engineering and product organizations,A natural problem-solver and strategic thinker who takes ownership. Will bring clarity to chaos and navigate through ambiguity. Profoundly understands the Cloud and overall end-to-end business health and key performance metrics.

Brings business first focus to technology initiatives; Deep dives regularly into data and metrics to identify risks and opportunities and follow through with action-oriented insights.Has a high degree of emotional intelligence, empathy, and level head. Has a fact-based approach to solving problems, efficiently and effectively communicating findings/progress to cross-functional teams, senior leadership, and the broader Platform Engineering organizations. Translates recommendations to results by executing action plans and project/program management as needed.

Can quickly build credibility with technical teams and talk their language. Be the connective tissue between Technology, Business, and Operations organizations. Knows how to connect the unconnected, organized, driven, and takes ownership.

The ideal candidate will also manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product, as well as manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on delivering new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities, ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.

Provide leadership and expertise in developing new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies significant changes to existing products/services/processes.

Candidate Preferred Experience:

  • BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area
  • At least seven (7) or more years of experience in technical architecture, leading complex technical & engineering programs
  • At least seven (7) or more years relevant work experience in program and project management
  • At least seven (7) or more years of product design or related experience are needed.
  • Experience developing and implementing complex technical projects
  • Experience in Engineering including Systems Architecture
  • Background in technical capacity planning, financial planning & analysis supporting a technical discipline
  • Deep understanding of Infrastructure, Cloud, and Software
  • Professional Problem Solver
  • Communication Expert must have the ability to communicate with and present to the CEO office and other top-tier executives.
  • Ability to represent the division up to the EVP level independently
  • Demonstrated ability to identify organization-wide issues and works with key stakeholders to drive them to resolution
  • Able to provide technical leadership
  • Experience with large-scale data centers or cloud computing environments and ability display a demonstrated ability to think broadly and strategically
  • Capacity and demand planning experience
  • Possess a technology background that enables you to understand the complexities of the sophisticated cloud-based computing architecture
  • Experience managing highly technical projects in a highly ambiguous environment
  • Maturity, judgment, negotiation/influence skills, analytical skills, and leadership skills
  • Able to thrive at the cross-section of technical/ infrastructure background along with financial/analytical experience
  • Experience working closely with one or more major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Can collaborate and influence engineering teams through a mix of education, hands-on execution, and partnering with cloud providers
  • Deep analytical expertise leveraging cloud cost management tools along with BI tools
  • Bachelors in and technical discipline or financial discipline (a plus)
  • Forecasting, Supply Chain experience (a plus)
  • IaaS experience (a plus)
  • This position can be based anywhere within the US.
