Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. has an opening for a Senior Product Manager in the Insights & Education team within the Digital Channels, Education & Client Marketing organization. We are a team of writers, editors, experience managers and content strategists that develop and distribute editorial help & guidance content to attract and retain investors for Schwab.

The focus of the role will be to own the Insights & Education (I&E) content experience in Schwab's mobile app, including partnering with UX/Design, technical partners and channel owners to define the goals for that experience, engage in strategic discussions to prioritize the features and capabilities that support that experience, and lead decision-making for the I&E team to deliver a best-in-class insights and education experience for Schwab's clients and prospects.

The Senior Product Manager for Mobile Insights & Education will work with the product team to continue the evolution of the experience in Schwab's Mobile App, launching new features and capabilities, iterating on the content UI, and potentially other content integrations including segmentation, personalization and delivery to internal "subscribing" channels like partner sites, smart speaker, AI chat, etc.

What you are good at

The Senior Product Manager will:

Manage a native I&E content experience in Schwab's mobile app:
  • Support the project and product team in managing the creation of the mobile "Insights & Education hub"
  • Define processes and systems for data collection and content ingestion via API
  • Implement a publishing workflow for cadenced content delivery to the app in a highly regulated environment
  • Support technical implementation of the mobile content experience with our technical partners
  • Enable measurement of mobile content performance by collaborating with editorial, data, analytics and technical teams

Enable Content Delivery to Subscribing Channels:
  • Translate product roadmap into well-defined requirements, including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria
  • Evaluate business needs, refine priorities, outline milestones and deliverables, and identify risks and opportunities
  • Partner with technical product manager and team to refine the opportunity backlog
  • Collaborate with channel owners to shape the vision for help & guidance content in the mobile app, AI chat, and other emerging channels
  • Serve as subject matter expert on Insights & Education content in order to facilitate seamless content delivery to emerging channels
  • Measure impact of content within the mobile experience by defining key business indicators and using data to drive improvements
  • Develop content lifecycle for respective platforms and channels, ensuring processes and workflows are understood by content development, distribution teams, and subscriber-site teams
  • Serve as the voice of the client/prospect/user, bringing that perspective back to internal stakeholders
  • Adopt user-focused approach to prioritize mobile experience improvements with business goals in mind. Identify common user pain points and define the right solutions to address them
  • Align with technical partners on prioritization of 12-month product roadmap. Deliver well-defined requirements, including features, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Design experiments to validate whether channel enhancements will be valuable, usable, feasible, and viable
  • Establish trusted relationships with partners and leverage internal network

What you have

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a mobile product manager; experience in both Agile and waterfall development processes; excellent organizational and project-management skills; a strong sense of initiative; a data- and metrics-driven approach to problem solving; and the ability to balance competing priorities for a diverse set of stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Balance of technical expertise and business acumen
  • Understanding of web and mobile publishing platforms and technology, including Drupal
  • Excellent organizational and project-management skills
  • Familiarity with the Agile and waterfall development cycles
  • Ability to work both independently and as a strong contributor to a team
  • B.A./B.S. in communications, journalism, information science, marketing, technology or a related subject

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in media, editorial and/or financial services
  • Experience in mobile UI, mobile engagement, management, measurement and best practice
  • Design system experience
  • Experience in technical development for editorial products
  • Experience with customer journey design and mobile app's role in supporting customer engagement, retention, and conversion

Target

Total Compensation - 105,300 - 210,500.Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience talk with your recruiter to learn more.
