Our team helps customers migrate both Commercial and Open-Source databases to the AWS cloud while providing a secure, reliable, and scalable infrastructure for customers to innovate and unlock new potential. As a Database Specialist Solution Architect, you will be helping our customers to migrate the most complex large-scale databases to AWS and help customers and partners use Cloud computing web services to build new solutions, faster, and at lower cost.Roles/Responsibilities Represent the voice of the customer; bring customer feedback to product teams to influence feature development and future product roadmap. Provide advanced technical knowledge to your domain aligned GTM teams to unblock our customers’ largest and most critical business challenges. Act as a thought leader sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures and public-speaking events such as AWS Summit, AWS re: Invent, etc. Partner with Business Development teams to define the technical components of best in class GTM concepts, solutions, and initiatives. Develop and support an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts worldwide. 7+ years design/implementation/consulting experience of database-driven applications or infrastructures
5+ years management of technical, customer facing resources
5+ years of Oracle Database implementation, operations and/or solution deployment experience in a business-critical, high-availability context
5+ years of implementation, operations and/or solution deployment on OCI
7+ years of running workloads on Exadata
7+ years of implementation, operations deployment of Oracle RAC-based solutions
Hands-on experience as a Oracle DBA, data warehouse architect or database developer.
Knowledge of the underlying infrastructure requirements such as Networking, Storage, and Hardware Optimization
Implementation and tuning experience of Databases including knowledge of Schema Design, Query Tuning and Optimization, Data Migration and Integration
Bachelor's degree or Advanced Technical degrees in computer science, software engineering, or mathematics; working knowledge of modern software development practices such as agile methodologies and DevOps
Preferred Qualifications
History of successful technical consulting and/or architecture engagements with large-scale customers or enterprises
Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
Familiarity with common enterprise services and working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers.
Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries
AWS Solution Architecture certification or relevant cloud expertise
Computer Science /relevant degree and/or experience highly desired
Executive speaking and presentation skills Formal presentations, white boarding, large and small group presentations.
Track record of implementing AWS, Azure, OCI services in a variety of business environments such as large enterprises and start-ups
Analytics layer experience including Dashboards, Reporting, and OLAP.
Understanding of application, server, and network security is highly desired
AWS, Azure and/or OCI Certifications
Exposure to Oracle Apps
