As a member of the Schwab Digital Fraud and Enterprise Middleware team , you will be immersed in a collaborative, innovative, and technically challenging environment. We're looking for a Software Engineer who is enthusiastic about learning new and existing technologies in order to deliver exceptional software solutions. The role will require a strong work ethic, problem solving skills and the ability to partner with business and technologists across the organization. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of successfully building and supporting enterprise web applications. The role will require a high level of responsibility and accountability yet has a support structure necessary for development growth.

What you are good at

  • Will provide support of highly available web application.
  • Will analyze and investigate problems with software solutions that have been reported by clients and document the results of their investigation(s).
  • Will lead triage and postmortem activities for critical issues and drive prioritization/resolution of remediation items.
  • Will perform maintenance of software and correct defects that have been identified during the maintenance process.
  • Will implement improvements to logging, metrics, and tracing telemetry and triaging capabilities across a diverse technology stack.
  • Will troubleshoot issues using monitoring tools such as Splunk and App Dynamics.
  • Will be required to write well designed, testable, efficient code.
  • Will participate in various cross-domain integration activities.
  • Will fix and support production escalation issues.
  • Will update and patch software to ensure compliance with security requirements.

What you have

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field with 3-5 years of experience in software development industry
  • Proficient with object-oriented design and programming using Java/C#/.NET
  • Good understanding of system availability and scalability
  • Experience with REST Web APIs or Messaging-based systems
  • Experience with Client library such as Angular, React etc
  • Experience in Powershell/Python scripting
  • Experience using Splunk for problem investigation
  • Experience working with Oracle/SQL database
  • Knowledge about NoSQL (MongoDB) database is a plus
  • Experience in an Agile tools and methodologies
  • Familiarity with test automation tools, such as Cucumber, Specflow, Mabl, Ruby, etc.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills across team boundaries
  • Strong problem-solving skills
