We are looking for an experienced and passionate Solution Architect, with Azure Cloud Native experience to join our team. The focus of this role is to support the design and implementation of Cloud-Native Solutions at one of Microsoft’s largest Retail customers. This customer-facing position is a hands-on technical role spanning design, build, and operations with a focus on supporting high-scale production systems and the establishment of enterprise-wide, reusable adoption patterns.The immediate team you will be a part of interacts closely with senior level customer Enterprise Architects, IT management, and software development teams. Additionally, you will work with various Microsoft product groups as well as global field roles such as Cloud Solution Architects, Customer Engineers, and Customer Success Account Managers. This position requires technical depth, agility and independent decision making while dealing with complex customer requirements. OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain (e.g., Security)
OR equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience working with one of the following cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Experience leading a customer or team with the design of a Kubernetes-based solution in the past two years.
3+ years’ experience with responsibility for analysis or troubleshooting of a cloud-native solution in production at a Fortune 500 company.
Additional or Preferred QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 12+ years’ experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain (e.g., Security)
OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 8+ years experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain (e.g., Security)
OR equivalent experience.
6+ years technical sales experience.
6+ years project management experience.
Technical or Professional Certification in Domain (e.g., Security).
Experience and understanding of large-scale, high-transaction application portfolios in enterprise environments.
Enterprise-scale technical experience with cloud native app hosting through software design, development, deployment, and operations.
Experience with design and implementation of scalable architectures using cloud services such Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure App Service, API management, serverless technologies, event streaming (Azure Event Hub, Kafka), enterprise messaging (Service Bus).
Technical depth in industry-recognized technologies that support distributed systems: microservice frameworks (DAPR, etc.), workload observability (distributed tracing), container technologies (Docker, etc.), and advanced data patterns (CQRS, etc.,).
Familiarity with one or more programming languages such as Java, .NET, JavaScript, Python, etc. and related frameworks and SDKs (Spring Cloud, TypeScript, React)
Understanding of modern database design and implementation (e.g., Cosmos DB, Mongo DB)
Familiarity with enterprise cloud adoption methodologies such as the Microsoft Well Architected Framework and Enterprise Scale Landing Zones.
