The selected individual will demonstrate the ability to step into an environment with existing applications and master their architecture, business flows, data structures and underlying schema. They will be able to take business requirements for new functionality and rapidly/quickly identify where changes are required on the existing platform to support these requests. Ideally, the individual will be able to identify other areas of the impacted system that may also be improved while working through a request. They are also able to balance when these changes can be incorporated into the current work item or logged for a future effort based on the time required to address these changes. - Write and maintain code in C# for Windows Forms, Web Application and Web API, including User Interfaces, Business Logic Layers and Stored Procedures.
- Make decisions about code design, architecture, and refactoring to balance technical debt against delivering functionality.
- Participate in the development of testing requirements for major initiatives.
- Review code and share knowledge/feedback with other engineers.
- Participate in establishing story point estimates and agile development methodology.
- Review and develop specifications with the Product Owner and Business Leads.
- Experience in Windows Forms and/or Web Application development on the .Net Platform in C#.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server TSQL and Stored Procedure Development.
- Ability to understand and work with unfamiliar complex code.
- Ability to creatively solve complex business problems and requirements.
- Proactive and clear verbal and written communication is essential.
