PositionSummaryThis position willto join theVisa Online Engineeringteam, as part of the Visa Onboarding and API Platform(VOAP) and will be based in Austin, TX. The successful candidate will be responsible for all test engineering as well as working with development engineers to enhance and increase test automation capabilities for delivering high quality code releases. This position is ideal for an experienced SoftwareEngineer who is passionate about testing complex and challenging business problems and testing applications that provide an excellent user experience in b2b space. The candidate will be extensively involved in hands-on activities including analyzing business requirements and design documents, development of Test Plans, Test Design and Test cases, design walk-throughs, building and maintaining automated test solutions for multiple applications on a variety of technology stacks, and coordinating with other application teams for integration/interface testing.

- Work with other Software Engineers and Test Engineers to design, document and execute manual and automated testing on a variety of tech stacks.
- Participate in the Software Development Lifecycle from a Test Engineering perspective, both Agile/Scrum and Waterfall.
- Learn new technologies as needed, and over time become a subject matter expert on the applications we support.
- Track defects and collaborate with the technical teams and the Visa online business team to design, implement, test and maintain business critical applications and maintain testing artifacts up to date.
- Ensure all tasks conform to established process and standards.
- Work within a highly skilled team along with Engineering Managers, Program managementto determine methods and procedures on new assignments.
- Evaluating forms and processes for software systems testing and methodology, developing comprehensive test and quality plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools.
- Designing and automating integration tests, critical-path or end-to-end acceptance tests, as well as UI/API tests.
- Ensure on-schedule delivery of a high-quality product that meets technical requirements.
- Evaluate “Proof of Concepts” based onLong Term Architectureand supporting to pilot new tools & technologies.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:- 4 years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree or an Advanced Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Information Technology (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD).
- Proficiency with fundamental front-end languages such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Experience with Unit, Acceptance, Performance, Non-functional test, Certification test lifecycle,BDD/TDD methodology.
- Excellent hands-on experience in API based test automation frameworks – Junit, Cucumber, Selenium, Protractor, etc.
- Experience with CI/CD with Performance Testing tools Load Runner, JMeter etc.
- Good knowledge ofdebugging & troubleshooting on Linux and windows environments.
- Strong Knowledge and works towards automation tools/skill set including UI Automation, API Automation creation of test plans, execute test plans and defect management to UAT (user acceptance testing) and post-implementation support and increasing the overall test coverage, test scalability and performance.
- 4-8 years of work experience and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Technology disciplines with strong fundamentals in software engineering.
- Hands on Development experience with Java & one or more scripting languages Python, jQuery, PowerShell, bash, shell scripting is highly desirable.
- Good understanding of object-oriented concepts and test methodologies is highly advantageous.
- In-depth knowledge of planning, designing, and executing test plans including automation, manual and white/black box testing and driving Visa test engineering teams’ automation strategy.
- Experience in producing detailed system documentation, including test strategy, test plans, test cases and automation framework.
- Basic knowledge of WCAG and Web UI Designs.

Work Hours This position requires the incumbent to be available during core business hours.Travel Requirements This position requires the incumbent to travel for work less than 10% of the time.Mental/Physical Requirements This position will be performed in an office setting.
