The HT Group is recruiting for an Oracle Database Administrator for a 4-month contract position in Austin, TX. The DBA must have strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills and be able to work independently in a diverse work environment. It is important to possess problem solving skills and have the ability to multi-task and be able to retain knowledge of environment and systems once given documentation and instruction. The DBA must be able to work around projects and deadlines with readiness to put in extra efforts when necessary.Required Experience:8 years proven experience in Database Administration, Database Design and Development using Oracle 11 / Oracle 12 databases in an enterprise-class environment. Experience must include performing highly complex data management functions at an enterprise level.8 years of experience in PeopleSoft database administration functions for enterprise databases, including setting up and running database management utilities to backup, reorganize and restore databases and resolve production and operational problems.8 years demonstrated experience in PeopleSoft data and systems architect duties; analyzes data resource and server capacity and forecasts growth requirements; recommends server, hardware and RDBMS upgrades and enhancements to meet long-term needs.5 years demonstrated experience leading and evaluating the implementation of project requests to ensure efficient use of server/database resources.5 years demonstrated experience leading efficiency improvements and implementation of database administration policies and procedures.Bachelors or advanced degree in computer science, computer information systems, management information systems, or a closely related field.3 years proven experience in Oracle RAC, ASM, RMAN, Grid Control, data pump, Standby databases for versions 11G and 12C, and OEM.Preferred Experience:3 years experience installing, configuring and integrating PeopleSoft application software over data management systems and supporting components and services; installs, upgrades and implements application fixes and patches; administers enterprise application software etc.3 years of experience in Golden Gate and Data Guard.3 years working with Agile methodology.
