Our client is seeing an IBMi Senior Systems Administrator for a long term contract based in Austin, TX. This is a hybrid role and this individual will be expected onsite 3 days per week ideally. Candidates willing to relocate to the Austin area for the duration of the contract would be eligible.The ideal candidate will have the following Experience:Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent training, and a minimum of eight (8) years' work experience as an IBM i/Power Systems Administrator in a large systems environment.Ability to provide technical infrastructure support for various systems software including but not limited to: operating system, system utilities, programming languages, database (DDS, DB2 for i , SQL), performance tools, Query, Access Client Solutions, support and maintenance through the application and testing of Technology Refreshes, and PTF software fixes.Experience managing the infrastructure for an IBM Power 8 or greater, and maintaining a 5030 SAN, VIOS, and Brocade Switches.Provide operational support as required. Ability to work flexible work schedules as required. Provide scheduled and emergency (e.g., nights, holidays and weekends) support either on site or remotely as necessary. Ability to be -on call- for and respond on-site for emergency support.Following experience is required:
