Material SpecialistClient is seeking a Materials Specialist to maintain and manage our engineering inventory. This position is responsible for the ordering, organizing and controlling of the materials used in engineering labs. In addition, this position is accountable for engineering inventory accuracy and cycle counting routines to drive accurate records on the materials being stored.What You'll Do- Control material movements into and out of engineering lab areas.
- Ensure timely unloading, receiving, storage, and delivery of material to the engineering labs
- Ensure all required documentation and record-keeping for transactions is maintained accurately
- Maintain and issue inventory reporting, including inventory accuracy, and scrap processing
- Assist in expediting material movements from the main warehouse and to the outbound shipping areas
- Ensure lab areas are maintained in a clean and organized manner
- 3+ years of relevant working experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Computer Hardware experience preferred.
- Knowledge of principles and procedures used in material handling and logistics operations and practices
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of professional experience.
- Proficiency with Enterprise Resource Systems (Syspro, Agile, SAP or others)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - ability to manage multiple projects/assignments simultaneously
- Time management skills with the ability to prioritize and schedule tasks for the most efficient use of time
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift server or other materials (50 LBs)
- Bi-lingual (Spanish or Chinese) a plus
- Ability to handle stressful situations with perseverance and professionalism
