SUMMARY: This is an exciting opportunity to join as we build our cloud-based big data ecosystem. This role manages the prioritization and execution of data stories and tasks as part of our cloud migration. The Data Product Manager will work cross-functionally - with a focus on data engineering, business intelligence, and product management - to lead Scrum teams in operationalizing our enterprise data strategy.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Partners with the Project Management Office (PMO) and Agile teams to coordinate and align data product management plans, schedules, roadmaps, and business resources to deliver solutions on time and within budget while gaining expected adoption.
- Collaborates with data, analytics, and product teams to identify business, functional, and technical requirements to inform a best-fit data ecosystem to support current and future capability needs.
- Ensures alignment of technical requirements with business and functional requirements to ensure timely- and business-value focused delivery.
- Develops, maintains, and prioritizes user stories in the Enterprise Data Strategy backlog.
- Partners with Data Governance to ensure data platform adherence - global, system, and persona-based - to enterprise data policies, procedures, and standards.
- Remediates product-related challenges and complete trade-off analysis to stay on track towards business deliverable commitments.
- Must have: Azure, SQL, knowledge of SSIS packages, just really understanding that language
- Soft skills: requirement gathering and history of getting things done
- Nice to have: financial industry experience
- Understanding of cloud-based data platforms, architectures, technologies, and processes designed to support enterprise data governance practices and enable scalability, sustainability, and self-service capabilities within a heavily regulated environment.
- Knowledge of industry information, big data, and data management best practices.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams in planning and executing complex situations.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment utilizing planning, time management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to proactively perceive, analyze, and address issues/opportunities in an effective and timely manner.
- Proven track record of leading and delivering data management deliverables, working across teams, communicating with various stakeholders.
- Technology-savvy with a broad understanding of available cloud-based data management and big data technologies that can be used to support a data-driven organization's goals and objectives.
