Job Description:
The primary responsibility of the Network Operations Center Technician is to monitor customer networks and respond to alerts generated by the network monitoring and management systems.
Key Responsibilities
Respond within established times to automated system alerts from network monitoring and management systems.
Use internal ticketing system to document alerts and to open and/or update trouble tickets
Open tickets with carriers and escalate when necessary to drive resolution of network outages and other trouble that may occur.
Answer all incoming calls promptly and assist in the research and resolution of any issues that are reported.
Act as a first point of contact for all customer reported troubles.
Provide periodic updates to customers on open tickets
Other duties as required.
Required:
Technical aptitude
Computer skills
Excellent communication skills
Requires prolonged sitting - up to 8 hours;
Occasionally lifting and carrying items weighting up to 40 pounds.
Corrected vision and hearing within normal range.
The ability to remain calm and courteous in periods of stress.
Ability to work shift-work, holidays and weekends as required
You must be at least 18 years or older
You must be willing to take a drug test as part of the selection process
You must be willing to submit a background investigation as part of the selection process
You must have legal authorization to work in the United States
