As an Azure Data Ingestion Lead, you will use cutting-edge cloud and data technologies to help global brands and federal agencies solve challenging problems through innovative technology solutions. What You'll Be Doing

  • Work in a team with other smart AIS employees and use cutting edge technologies to solve challenging enterprise problems
  • Apply your skills in Azure Cognitive Services, Azure PaaS, data science, data analytics, and data warehousing to pioneer Azure cloud and data services
  • Use experience working with Azure Data & Storage, Azure Analytics & Azure IoT tools, as well as the traditional Microsoft BI stack
  • Provide mentorship to more junior consultant

Location and Travel Details

This is a remote position with occasional travel once COVID restrictions are lifted.

Security Clearance and Citizenship Requirements

Must be able to obtain and/or maintain a Secret Clearance.

Profile of Success

  • Eight years of professional experience in systems engineering
  • Experience with the Azure storage technologies (Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Azure SQL Database)
  • Knowledge of Azure data movement and transformation capabilities (Azure Data Factory, Data Lake Analytics, Data Bricks, Stream Analytics)
  • Experience in designing efficient and robust ETL/ELT workflows, schedulers, and event-based triggers
  • Experience as a Big Data Developer with experience in Hive, Scala, Spark
  • Experience with Azure Active Directory security constructs and Azure RBAC
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM or Terraform
  • Experience with Data Vault
  • Experience with Snowflake
  • Exposure to Data Mining, Data Engineering and Data Modeling
  • Proven ability to work with clients to understand requirements and envision data ingestion solutions
  • Proven cloud infrastructure architecture experience
  • Desire to mentor and train internal technical teams
  • Must have experience in a client-facing environment and interacting with technical and business stakeholders
  • Passionate about emerging technology, want to pursue certifications, and the desire to further your cloud career
  • Knowledge of traditional network architecture such as IP Addressing, subnetting, routing, switching, and firewalls
  • Proven expertise in the implementation of encryption technologies (SSL, encryption, PKI)
  • Possess current industry-recognized certifications

Desirable Skills

  • Background with Data Science tools such as R, Python, and SAS is a plus
  • Experience with visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Microsoft related certifications
