Lead Software Architect, Cloud Native Development

Texas, Austin, 78703 Austin USA

Vacancy expired!

They think it will likely be around 25% or lower after COVID. 2) You can send subs directly to me and I'll review/get them over. Interview process is 3 rounds typically - Rax internal recruiter screen, then call with manager, and then technical interview with a few members of the team.

Position: Lead Software Architect, Cloud Native Development

Location: UNITED STATES - REMOTE

Type: Perm/Full-time

Salary range: $140-$160k (upside flex here for an A+ knock-out candidate)

There will be direct reports to this position but no manager experience is necessary. They ideally would love someone who has been a program/project lead + has worked with the customer before.

Top 3 critical qualifications (from intake call with manager):

1.

In depth AWS Architecture experience a. Deploying and building applications for AWS using AWS services NOTE: AWS can be such a buzz word; they are not looking for candidates with simply just EC2 or NS 3 experience - those are simply containerization tools. They want someone who has built AWS applications NOTE: Also not looking for a cloud architect (the ones who handle infrastructure/Devops/Terraform/Ansible, etc) - they want someone on the application side who can do development and modernizations. b.

A good indication of a strong fit: They'll likely have experience with Lambda, serverless architecture, IoT (AWS related), and/or microservies

2.

Software engineering background a. Java or C# preferred. Node, React, Angular would put the candidate at the top of the list. b. The technologies stack matters less, they mostly just want someone who has come up in their career as a developer, as opposed to a devops/sys admin or functional side. c. 3 most commonly used programming languages at Rax right now (not required but useful to know if the candidate asks/to check for while screening candidates: i.Javascript ii.Python iii.GoLang

3.

Client facing soft skills a. The candidate doesn't need to have had client facing roles before, but MUST be excellent at articulating his ideas, his work, and help strategize/consult with the client
