What you are good at You will be part of a development team responsible for building enterprise cloud -based applications within the Advisor Services Technology division. Schwab Advisor Services Technology is building next generation Trading platform and we are looking for passionate people to join the team as Schwab adopts technology trends that will shape future of RIA industry.- Contribute to the development, testing, deployment, and support of Advisor Services Trading applications.
- Learn about the business of Schwab and Advisor Services and identify opportunities to improve the client experience with your technical solutions.
- Work collaboratively with other engineers, product owners, and end users to creatively solve problems.
- Implement code and unit tests using best practices and standards.
- Support your solutions throughout all phases of the software development lifecycle.
- Bachelor's Degree or master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Proficiency in one or more object-oriented languages such as Java , Spring Boot or C
- Strong Computer Science fundamentals in data structures, object-orienteddesign, algorithm design and problem solving
- Coursework and/or experience in database principles, such as SQL, Oracle or Hadoop
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle
- Ability to work closely with other engineers and team members
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Prior hands-on experience in developing and deploying micro-services solutions on cloud infrastructure
- Experience building cloud ready applications using I aa S/P aa S concepts in AWS, Azure, Private Cloud (preferably Pivotal Cloud Foundry) utilizing Spring Cloud Data Flow
- F amiliarity with Atlassian tools (bitbucket, J ira, confluence).
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem solving and organizational skill s
