Our client, a retirement services company, is seeking a Talent Management Product Implementation Manager

Location: Austin, TX

Position Type: Contract

Summary:

The person filling the Product Implementation Manager position will be a Product Owner for TM tool development and a liaison between the IDS and TM teams. They should be able to clearly communicate and outline high-level user requirements into development requirements, and be able to collaborate with product delivery teams with a proactive approach throughout the development lifecycle. This person should also have a clear understanding of Talent

Management processes and business needs, be proficient in Agile (or similar) project management methodologies, have background knowledge of technology (SQL and PowerBI a plus), understand report integration, and (nice to have) Talent Management experience. They will also support validation and analysis of Talent Management data and will provide user acceptance testing of products released into production environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Product Owner for Talent Management (TM) tool development efforts.
  • Serves as a liaison between the Talent Management and internal development (IDS) group:
  • Understands TM processes and business needs
  • Work with IDS to translate TM high-level user requirements into development requirements
  • Collaborates with product delivery teams (Project Manager, Developer, QA, etc.) through development lifecycle.
  • Provides Talent Management user acceptance of products released to production environment.
  • Understands suite of TM tools (HRIS, Manager Assessment App, PowerBI portals, etc.) and related reports and how they integrate with each other.
  • Provides high level product support for Talent Management tools/processes to relevant users.
  • Supports validation and analysis of talent management data.
  • Interpreting data to support decision making.

Minimum Required Experience:

  • At least Five years of experience in data and Information Systems (or similar field)
  • Experience in converting business requirements and functional requirements to use cases, epics, and user stories with acceptance criteria
  • Demonstrated knowledge of agile software delivery and principles of design thinking
  • A strong candidate will possess:
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Presentation and negotiation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Business Analyst at least 1 to 2 years with career progression into a Product or Project Owner role.
  • Basic to intermediate SQL and PowerBI experience
  • HRIS and/or Talent Management Experience
  • Experience with confidential data
  • Evaluator, contributor, and/or part of decision process on Buy-or-Build software

  • No minimum requirement.
