The position is responsible for providing safe, reliable vehicles and equipment in a cost-efficient manner for all operating locations, enforcing and administering the quality and safety compliance rules and regulations, managing personnel conducting scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and ensuring all parts and mechanic times are accounted for and that work performed is properly described on repair orders. This position schedules and tracks job- related training and verifies the proper parts inventory is on hand through constant communication with the Parts Manager.

High school diploma or equivalent and ten to twelve years mechanical maintenance experience or a graduate of a technical trade school with four to six year's mechanical maintenance experience with large fleets on hydraulic, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, engine, transmissions, HVAC, and special body applications including five to seven years experience in a maintenance management role;

Strong mechanical background;

Ability to function in a fast-paced work environment;

Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite - i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook

Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL);

Safety or OSHA training certificates;

Maintenance management /supervisory certificates;

Computerized Maintenance Management Software training (CMMS); and

Department of Transportation (DOT) inspector certified.

ASE or Dealer certification and continued annual education

Valid Texas Class C Driver's License
