UI/UX Engineer with Java

Location: Austin, TX

Duration: 6 months

Note: Remote till Covid restriction

Client is looking for an outstanding UI/UX Engineer to join our team and help improve user experience and user interface of performance tools. This is a highly technical hands-on role which requires in-depth technical understanding of software and ability to take a holistic view of complex systems. We are looking for a candidate who is self-driven, independently troubleshoot technical issues, and work with teams of developers and test engineers who take pride in building elegant solutions.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of strong programming experience using JavaScript
  • 2+ years professional experience with JS frameworks like react, angular, node.
  • Proficient with front-end languages including HTML and CSS.
  • 2+ years working in an Agile software development environment.
  • 2+ years of experience working on charting libraries like highcharts, d3.js
  • Solid experience creating prototypes using tools like sketch, Invision Studio, etc., •
  • Preferred experience with visualizing high velocity stream of time series data
  • Professional experience with Maven, SVN and GIT.
  • Experience in Java programming
  • Familiarity with databases
Responsibilities•
  • Code reviews, debugging, and programming in JavaScript
  • Meet with product team, understand the feature requirement and design prototypes
  • Plan sprints and ensure timely delivery of features
  • Follow industry standard practices in implementation (no anti patterns, good documentation)
  • Collaborate with backend dev team and design clear data interfaces
  • Define API interfaces using swagger or openAPI
  • Communicate status and risks to cross functional teams; offer mitigation strategies.
  • Be creative in using visual medium to tell stories with data
