Job DescriptionKelly Services is looking for an Expeditors in Baytown, TX that are looking at an amazing career opportunity!The Expeditors will be assigned to various shifts and will be on-site at a petrochemical refinery/plant.Your main tasks will include:Yard planning of all inbound/outbound containers / cargoes in an effective manner for maximum yard utilization.Liaise with agents / affiliates regarding all data and all other requirements needs.Ensure that all requirements are fulfilled prior to arrival / dispatch of a truck.Liase with Dispatch Clerks, Outbound Supervisor and DriversLiaise with stakeholders in container drayage and export, such as but not limited to Shipping Lines, Freight Fowarder, Port, Empty Depots.Liase with Customer Supply Chain and Marketing DepartmentsPlan all transport operations.Monitor and report operational performanceReport activities to client and higher managementControl the costs and organize invoicing of servicesMonitor and maintain the KPI for the Drayage operationsRequirementsAt least 2 years of experience in comparable roleKnowledge of petrochemical industry and processesKnowledge of drayage business and process in Houston area, ideally good contacts at Port of Houston and Rail TerminalsIdeally, experience in logistic operatorsExperience in SAP, preferredAble to work outside in variable weather conditions including high temperature summer monthsAbility to work independently and have the drive to take the initiative if direct supervision is not available on a constant basisAbility to work well under pressureStrong Verbal, written communication and time management skillsAbility to prioritize multiple tasks to efficiently manage workloadAbility to work well in a fast-paced and high-intensity environmentProficient with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation softwareAbility to learn new software systems and tasks quicklyHighlightsAS A KELLY EMPLOYEE, YOU-LL HAVE ACCESS TO WORLD-CLASS PERKS, INCLUDING:Kelly-sponsored Affordable Care Act health care coverage available to eligible employeesGroup insurance optionsService bonus planHoliday pay planWeekly electronic pay optionsOnline training campus that provides more than 3,000 free courses to help improve and develop skillsExclusive online employee communityEmployee assistance program available at no costCorporate discountsTransportation Spending AccountsOffered and administered by Leslie & Associates.
