Job DescriptionGreat opportunity for Shipping Supervisor in Baytown - pay is $20 per hour plus overtime! MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE! Responsible for overseeing daily company operations and employee performance during their particular shift. Assigns tasks to subordinate employees, makes sure that all operations run smoothly, responds to customer inquiries and complaints, reports to upper management with any ongoing issues or problems.Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the shipment of goods produced and supplies to be used in order to aid in the storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base.
Responsible to make arrangements for pick-up by the carrier or the customer-s purchase.
Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor. Maintain an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times.
Upon receipt of Releases from customers, follow up for on-time delivery of product
Commercial Invoices - Send to customer, file copy, get releases, and ship product
Responsible for Bills of lading
Get quote for best price shipping
Make sure there are no discrepancies on sales orders before invoicing.
Ship orders in the system.
Process invoices, credits and RMAs on a daily basis.
Month end reports to clean up system prior to month end closing.
Work with Accounting Department to resolve AR issues as they arise.
Schedules employee hours and shifts.Conducts performance reviews.Requirements3+ years of management experience and strong leadership skills
Knowledge of: Customer Order Processes - Inventory System and Windows and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
Conflict resolution and problem solving skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Capability of Multitasking
Good communication skills
Ability to type at an accurate speed
