What we are looking for
Existing Port Arthur/Beaumont operation has been established for one of our customers. We currently deliver flatbed loads to Houston area and pick up lumber for return trip to customer. We are currently dedicated to customer but we have strong commitments from two other existing customers. We also have another potential customer next door. Current operation is only 3 to 4 tractors.
We are looking for a terminal manager that has good knowledge of the East Texas and Louisiana area and is motivated to grow the terminal.
This position requires skills in all areas of flatbed and drybox trucking including managing the terminal, hiring, safety, scheduling, maintenance scheduling and organizing equipment and driver flow. Additional personnel and resources will be added as needed. You will also be making customer contact in coordinating as well as customer development.
Must have computer skills to include quick typing, navigating computer software including printers, faxes, scanners and other office equipment, and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
The home terminal will provide support for all of the above including HR, payroll and insurance.
All tractors are full service Ryder lease. Growth potential here is very high.
