The HT Group is working with a company in the Beaumont/Port Neches, TX area to recruit an on-site Software Developer to join their team. The Developer will work with an energetic team that includes project managers, quality testers, GIS specialist and other developers to develop and enhance the tools that are used to maintain the GIS data. This position will be a 3-month contract-to-hire position. Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:Design and code VB.NET/C#Work cross functionally with internal teams to meet project goalsCollaborate with State Project Managers and their teams to help with future project roadmap decisions.Required Skills:2-5 years of previous experience supporting technology infrastructure supporting 100+ employees and large scale projectsUnderstanding of SQLUnderstanding and using relational databasesProficiency with MS ExcelStrong experience with ASP.NETDemonstrated knowledge of web technologies, such as HTML, HTML5, CSS and JavascriptStrong experience with SQL Server backend databasesSpecific experience with Microsoft Operating Systems 2008-2019+Ability to write applications for databases, perform ad hoc queries for staff and maintain database dataBachelor degree in Computer Sciences, Technology, or relevant experienceAbility to work independently and multi-task effectivelyStrong attention to detailFlexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessaryHigh sense of ownership and self-motivationDesired Skills:Experience developing database applicationsExperience with DQL ServerExperience with source code control toolsExperience using bug management toolsExperience working with distributed teams
