Job Description:
This is a temporary position that may lead to more work as the project continues to grow. We are looking for technicians to conduct surveys and install new equipment in our Wireless retail stores. The technician may be expected to support any IT related issues for our clients. Surveyors will be required to check and provide pictures of heating/ac, shelving, network cabling, test data cables, check Internet modem, verify and run an Internet speed test, check position of electrical outlets, printer, and cash draw. Installations will require PC configurations, computer setup, router and network configurations, troubleshooting, internet modem testing, network cabling, and POS system setup, etc.
Expectations:
Candidate should have experience with on-site computer/server setup, troubleshooting and repair with small business/networked environments. Minimum requirements are 2 years working in this type of environment or equivalent training/education. MCSE, CCNA, A+ or other IT certifications are a bonus. You will be expected to represent the company in a professional manner and upload an end of the day log of all work done. You should expect to be in constant communication on the status of work and new work that needs to be performed.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
Ability to Mount a Cabinet
Communication skills
Valid drivers license
Ability to maintain documentation
Expected to check-in and out with tech support
Ability to work independently
Must have own transportation and reliable vehicle
Willingness to submit information for a pre-employment background screen
Tools Requirement:
Network Cable, Cordless Drill, Network Tester or Laptop, Electrical Outlet Tester, Camera Phone
Compensation:
Flat Fee Rate: $90 for Site survey, $200 for Install /mileage may be provided
