Provide technical support for refinery operation in regard to assigned units while focusing on safety, environmental regulations, reliability, and profitability.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:

Complete project(s) as assigned in a timely manner.

Comply with all Company safety and environmental practices

Reports safety deficiencies and takes appropriate corrective or mitigating action

Perform housekeeping to maintain a clean work environment and clean equipment such as filters, tanks, exchangers and other equipment

Communicates with the Unit Operator, Maintenance, and Supervisor to make field adjustments in response to changing process conditions to address or prevent issues

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The work environment varies widely from indoors to outdoors. Indoors is temperature controlled and typically quiet. Work is done sitting down in front of a computer, or at a desk, looking at Unit Monitoring spreadsheets, drawings or P&IDs.

Outdoors ranges from -20 to over 100 °F, it is typically noisy, requiring hearing protection in most places. The weather can be sweltering or raining, freezing and slippery. In the Refinery units there are many potential hazards, such as:

Hot equipment that radiates heat.

Rotating equipment.

Exhaust fumes from portable compressors.

Hazardous Chemicals if inhaled or in contact with skin.
