job descriptionControls EngineerPermanent position: A Controls Engineer is needed for a leading manufacturing organization in the northeastern Memphis/ Jackson, TN metro area. The Controls Engineer is responsible to modify, upgrade, replacement, troubleshoot and install controls systems on manufacturing equipment in the plant. Qualified candidates must have a BSEE, and 5+ years' of Controls Engineering experience within an industrial manufacturing setting. Relocation assistance is available.Responsibilities for the Controls Engineer
Modify, upgrade, replacement, troubleshoot and install controls systems on manufacturing equipment in the plant
Perform HMI design
Write and modify PLC Programs on new and existing equipment; Configure and troubleshoot VFD's
Obtain contract help on projects and maintain a workable relationship with outside contractors
Participate on capital projects
Requirements for the Controls Engineer
BS in Electrical Engineering
5+ years' of Controls Engineering experience within an industrial manufacturing setting
Experienced with basic HMI Design
PLC Programming and troubleshooting proficiency
Proficiency with Rockwell Automation, Allen Bradley,Rslogix 5, 500, 5000, Studio 5000, and FactoryTalk preferred
