Job DescriptionPosition Summary:Purpose of this position is to supervise the personnel, the processes, and our products as it gets received in, shipped out, and warehoused. Will involve direct over-site to coordinating with the carriers that provide transportation to take shipments to our customers and supervise our personnel that will do the work of transporting our product from our warehouse(s) on to those carrier-s trucks. The position will be responsible for moving this product safely and in a quality manner, while trying to maintain the highest amount of efficiency possible. The incumbent will supervise and direct the daily operations of what transpires in and out of our warehouses.Responsibilities:

Direct involvement with tendering shipments and organizes inbound & outbound freight needs of the plant

Responsible for freight tendering compliance levels and lost opportunity costs

Responsible for tendering interplant shipments

Arranges LTL shipments and potential product returns back to the plant

Responsible for and directs movements of materials to and from our off-site warehouse and the plant in a timely manner

Insures the plant warehouse doesn-t get over-crowded and there is a good flow of inventory out of the plant to avoid over-crowding (IE direct what inventory gets sent to off-site)

Responsible for organization and housekeeping for each warehouse we operate out of

Plant Champion for import / exporting protocols

Primary communicator to our carrier network

Reacts to and adjusts for issues with trucking companies that deliver or our product; while providing corrective actions for carriers that do not meet delivery expectations

Over-sees receiving controls and corrects or addresses receiving issues

Provides daily direction on shipping issues and warehousing activities, following up as needed

Enforces plant rules, monitors attendance & vacations of subordinates, providing corrective action (discipline) as necessary

Provides back-up support for other logistic positions in the department when individuals are out of the office

Other duties as assigned.

Candidates need to be able to show 3-5 years of experience and have established longevity within current or previous positions. These are manufacturing positions dealing in high volume inventory and full truckload shipping and receiving (10-15 full truckloads per day shipping with an additional 1-5 truckloads receiving). Candidates should have supervisory experience.RequirementsSchedule: This is a skilled leadership and supervisory positions and candidates should be able to work at a minimum Monday - Friday 7am - 6pm. Normal hours are 8-5 but these positions require latitude as they deal with shipping and warehousing.Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High school diploma or GED

Minimum of 3 to 5 years- experience in a related position shipping/receiving/warehousing industry

Preferred background in the injection/blow molding industry

Computer skills - Microsoft Office Suite

SAP experience is preferred

TMS software experience is preferred

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral form.Physical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk and spend time in and out of our warehouses. The employee is required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; bending, and talking or hearing. The employee must occasionally push, pull, lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
