DescriptionAccountemps has an excellent opportunity for a Tax Preparer in the Buda, Texas area. You will be performing essential Tax Preparer duties such as managing simple and complex State and Federal tax returns for individual and small business. Conclude and invoice for form preparation fees
Call or email clients to gather fundamental information/documents
Supply the Tax software application with correct data
Handle clients with incoming calls to delegate tax questions and set appointments
Produce other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned
Complete transaction tax returns manually utilizing various methods (Paper, E File, EDI Upload) with various government agencies
Requirements
Spreadsheet and database capabilities
Ability to multitask effectively
Comprehensive knowledge of Complex Tax Return
Deep understanding of Individual Tax Return
Knowledge of Drake Tax Software
Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well
AA or BS/BA in Accounting or finance preferred
3+ years experience preparing tax returns
Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required
Can work independently with minimal supervision
