FSQA Specialist – Carrollton, TXThe FSQA Specialist (Food Safety Quality Assurance) is responsible for coordinating the regulatory and quality compliance activities of all COMPANY’S manufacturing facilities. They play a large role in maintaining GFSI-BRC certification and other related third-party audit requirements as well as internal auditing programs. This position will assist the FSQA Compliance Manager with all compliance-related activities including delegating actions and tracking compliance progress within each functional department.Job Responsibilities:· Participates in all regulatory, customer, and voluntary audits.· Ensures compliance with all regulatory (FSMA), customer, and GFSI audit requirements.· Coordinates and records actions regarding regulatory, GFSI, internal, and customer audit findings.· Tracks progress of corrective actions through completion and provides verification of effectiveness.· Plans and executes mass balance exercises.· Conducts and coordinates internal audits.· Participates in all Food Safety Committee activities and meetings.· Takes part or leads HACCP/Food Safety Plan meetings.· Maintain appropriate and professional written and verbal communication.· Ensure that food safety, legality, integrity and quality standards are maintained at all times.· Updates FSQA policies and procedures as needed.· Perform other tasks as assigned by Management.· Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities such as professional publications, seminars / webinars or professional organizations.· Regular attendance for scheduled shifts is a requirement of this position.Job Requirements:· Minimum Associates degree· 1-3 years Quality Assurance in Food Manufacturing· M-F; 8am-5pm· Food industry experience is requiredYou should know: Your safety matters!
