Infant / Toddler Teacher

Tomorrow’s Promise is looking for Infant and Toddler Teachers. Come and join our team where we provide an excellent Montessori education for infants, toddlers, preschool, and after-school children. Candidates must be committed to making a difference in the lives of children. You must be someone who wants to continue to learn and have a career with children's education, even if you do not have a college degree. You will have the opportunity to learn or enhance your skills in the Montessori method for teaching children.

A teacher is responsible for the education and well-being of the children in her/his care. Keeping a Texas Rising Star compliant classroom, keeping appropriate logs, and making sure everything complies with Texas Rising Star standards

The standards required of the Teachers are:

Performing without supervision

Provide secure and safe classroom Creation and execution of learning plans Diapering/toileting of children and ensuring proper classroom sanitation The smooth running of a fun, loving, and learning classroom Maintaining 100% accurate records and readiness for audit Positively and professionally representing the school

Welcoming children and Parents to the classroom Answering questions regarding child's progress & development Discussing behavior traits and issues and potential reinforcement and change solutions Self Management

Daily punctual attendance Attendance and participation in weekly and monthly staff meetings Professional appearance All learning modules assigned to you 100% completed on time. Physical Active and Capable

Ability to stand for long periods, and frequent walking, Sit on the floor and play with children and ability to get up quickly Ability to lift up to 40 lbs child in an emergency. Educational and Skill Requirements:

High School Diploma with a STRONG passion for learning and being with children. Experience with the Texas Rising Star is preferred but not necessary. CPR/First Aid certification (before start date or soon after employment) All candidates must pass the national criminal background check. Fluency and clear communication in English, Spanish is a plus.

Salary is based on experience and any certifications already held.

COVID-19 considerations:

To keep our teachers as safe as possible, we take everyone's temperature and wash hands upon arrival and throughout the day. Masks, gloves, and lab coats are available for teachers to wear.
