Private optometric practice in Bryan, Texas is looking for a full-time medical technician to join our team. Our focus will be on independent eyewear lines, high-quality service and materials, medical and vision exams. Experience in the field strongly preferred but we will train the right applicant.
Duties:
Preparing patients for the eye exam by doing special testing and visual acuities
Assisting patients in selecting eyeglasses
Adjusting and repairing eyeglasses
Answering the phone, scheduling appointments
Greeting and checking in patients, collecting payment
Verify insurance, correctly interpret vision plan coverage, process orders
Requirements:
Customer service oriented
Work effectively with coworkers and patients
Strong ability to multi-task
Organized and detail oriented
Ideal Candidate:
Working knowledge of vision plans and health insurance plans
Previous medical field experience
Previous retail or hospitality experience
2 years of retail experience
Bilingual
Must be teachable and willing to learn
